Sherill Irene McLearen was born on October 27, 1948 to William George and Flora Lucille Revert in Peryton, Texas. Sherill graduated from Perryton High School and continued her education at Richland College in Dallas, Texas and MSU in Wichita Falls, Texas where she received an Associates Degree in General Studies.
Sherill loved life and lived it to the fullest. For many years, She was a Bailbondsmen all over the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. She also was a freelance reporter for the Amarillo Globe News as well as many news stations in Amarillo, Texas. She owned a hobby shop in Wichita Falls until retirement where she had an outlet to share her love for hot wheels and collectables.
Sherill lived a beautiful life with her little family. She loved her daughter VeLaura and her granddaughter Kaitlynn. Wherever Sherill went, Kaitlynn was sure to follow. Sherill spent many summers spending time with Kaitlynn at the pool, the park, and toting her around to vacation bible schools all over Perryton, Texas. The bond they shared was very special.
She was preceded in death by her father William George Revert, her mother Flora Lucille Revert, and many aunts and uncles that were very near and dear to her heart.
Sherill McLearen went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2023.
She is survived by her daughter VeLaura Berry and husband Mike, granddaughters Kaitlynn McLearen and Ava Berry, Aunt Evelyn Barnett, as well as her poodle Rascal. She is also survived by many very loved friends and family members.
A graveside service will be held at the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Oklahoma on Thursday May 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to BSA hospice of Amarillo.
