Patricia Joan Cornell was born at home on December 8, 1930 to her parents, H.E. Cornell and Dorothy Mildred Bowden Cornell. She attended Balko School and graduated with the class of 1949. Patricia married J.A. Kinsey on October 24, 1950 at the Balko Baptist Church. Patricia and J.A. were blessed with four sons: Steve, Scott, Skylar and Stuart. Along with raising these boys, Patricia was a homemaker and devoted farmer's wife. She washed a lot of jeans, football jerseys and made sure there was a home cooked meal on the table (and sometimes in the field). She made sure her boys were always clean and dressed up for church every Sunday. Patricia also took some art classes later in life. She produced some nice paintings, although she would always think they weren't very good. She substituted as bus driver whenever J.A. was out in the field sowing wheat. Patricia loved going to friends’ houses on Saturday nights with J.A. and playing cards but only if the field work was done first. She and J.A. supported the local FFA program and loved going to stock shows and watching her boys show their animals. She was raised on a farm where hard work and honesty were taught early to her by her mom and dad. She valued family, friends and her church. Patricia was a long time member of the Balko Baptist Church where she helped with Vacation Bible School each summer. She stated that she and her family were baptized in a creek near Elmwood, OK, but could not remember when or which creek. She always loved to bake cookies. She once said she had lost track of how many cookies she had made. Her boys just kept on eating them.
After a wonderful 46 years of marriage, J.A. passed in November of 1996. Patricia later married John Goss Jr. of Adams, OK. John Goss passed in November of 2003. In June of 2005, Patricia married William Schroeder of Adams, OK. William passed in September of 2015. She is also preceded in death by her cherished brother-in-law, Derrel Renfrow.
