Nedra Jean "Bebo" Brooks

Nedra Jean Brooks, “Bebo” was born on April 2, 1937 to Pete and Geneva Graham in McLean, TX. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Thad and Mae Eldridge of McLean, TX, after her mother passed away at an early age.

In 1954, she married Ernest Brooks, Jr. in Clovis, NM. Ernest and Nedra had two sons, David and Jerry. The family moved to Beaver, OK where they owned and ran the bowling alley, built an electrical business, and lived most of their adult lives.

Later in life, she divorced and continued living around Beaver, OK. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, visiting with neighbors, playing in a weekly bridge club, and spending summers at Canton lake fishing and boating.

She moved to Kingfisher, OK in 2009 to be closer to her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They loved to tell stories, recite nursery rhymes, play Barbies, Tic Tac Toe, Old Maid, and have tea time with their Bebo.

Nedra was preceded in death by her parents and her sister,Sondra Bybee.

She is survived by one sister, Donna Bartley, and husband Eddie, of Clarendon, TX; Sons, David Brooks, and wife Tracey, of Kingfisher, OK and Jerry Brooks, and wife JoAnne, of Galena, MO; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
