Michael Wayne Cooper, 65 of Forgan, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019.
Mike was born December 25, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico to Bill Cooper and Wanda Maxwell Cooper. He was a resident of Beaver County most of his life. He went to school all 12 years at Forgan and graduated with the class of 1972.
Mike married the love of his life Judy O’Neal on May 4, 1995 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Mike was a highly skilled welder and an outstanding speed reader. He loved to show people his martial arts skills in nunchakus and knife throwing. He made several videos with his nunchakus that are on the internet.
Mike enlisted with the Navy and received an Honorable Discharge.
The legacy of Mike’s big heart, great sense of humor are loved by those who met him and will live on in his family and friends. Mike never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back it they needed it. He was a simple man, not needing material items to live in this world.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Cooper and mother, Wanda Cooper.
Mike is survived by his wife, brother and two sisters. Judy Cooper of Forgan; Terry and Sandy Cooper of Forgan; Cheryl and Ronnie Steers of Turpin and Teryl and Brent Leisher of Forgan. Also survived by step children, Michael Jo and Barbara Sanders, Lamar Colorado; Joe, Kelly, Kasey and Charley.
Mike, also leaves 5 grandkids, 8 great grandkids, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, 4 great nephews and 7 great nieces.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Forgan School Library so they may purchase books for all ages.
