J.C. Purcell

J C  Purcell was born September 17, 1927 in Quitaque, Texas to Cecil and Edna Othell (Merrell) Purcell.  He attended Beaver High School and he enlisted in the United States Navy. He married Johnnie Lauraetta Karnes on November 8, 1947 in Perryton, Texas. She passed on December 24, 2002.  He was a Shop Supervisor for Beaver County.    

J C passed on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Beaver County Nursing Home, Beaver, Oklahoma at the age of 91.   

He is survived by his sons, Jon Christopher Purcell of Beaver, Oklahoma, Cecil Howard Purcell of Florence, Texas; his daughter, Kerri Radcliff, Forgan, Oklahoma; his brother,  Doyle Wayne Purcell of Stinnett, Texas; sisters, Carol Jean Ringo of Plano, Texas, Connie Smith of Silverton, Texas, Diane Johnston of Canyon, Texas and Ruth Procter of Quitaque, Texas; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; his special companion, Frances Alberty and a host of other family and friends.

Memorials may be made to any of the Beaver County Emergency Services, Fire-Ambulance-Sheriff; or Jones and Plummer Museum or the Beaver Library.
