Harold James Tedder was born on October 3, 1953 in Borger, Texas to Cecil Ray Tedder and Sue Ann (Powell) Tedder.

Harold was the oldest of four children. He attended school in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. He would later graduate from high school in Forgan, Oklahoma and attended vo-tech in Liberal, Kansas. After vo-tech he enlisted in the United States Army where he served until he was honorably discharged.

After the army, Harold worked for Groendyke for several years and then started driving a truck cross-country and did so until his health no longer allowed. Once he retired from trucking, he moved to Beaver, Oklahoma to help take care of his beloved mother. After his mother’s passing, he decided to move to Hinton, Oklahoma to spend time with his daughter and family and later moved to Hydro, Oklahoma where he lived until his passing.

Harold was a friend to everyone and would lend a hand whenever needed. No matter where he lived, you could ask any of the townspeople, and they would tell you how much they enjoyed visiting with him, and how friendly he was to everyone.

Harold accepted the Lord as his savior and was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Forgan, Oklahoma. He studied theology for a while and even preached a little at his hometown church.

Harold was a simple man and loved simple things. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes and chess with his dad and friends. He had two dogs – Freckles and Daisey whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecil; his mother Sue Ann; brother, Billy; sister, Connie; and his grandparents.

He leaves behind two brothers - Allen Tedder and wife Melba of Centerton, Arkansas and Cecil Tedder and wife Carol of Forgan, Oklahoma; one sister Joyce Clark and husband Alan of Beaver, Oklahoma; three children; 7 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

A small private burial will be announced later for his family and friends.
