Gene Robert Grove

G.R. Grove, oldest son of Gene R. and Lillie Grove, was born May 9, 1948, at Beaver Memorial Hospital. Growing up in Beaver, G.R. was active in the United Methodist Church as a member of the Children’s Choir, MYF, and Sunday school.  He was a talented athlete and graduated from Beaver High School in 1966. G.R. attended Panhandle State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon receiving his degree, he began teaching Industrial Arts, drafting and computer classes at Forgan High School along with working on the farm with his Dad.  G.R. loved spending time at the lake boating, fishing and jet skiing with family and friends.  He retired from teaching and farming and moved to the Bartlesville area to be close to his brother, mother and family. G.R. continued to live the lake life and did many more woodworking and welding projects.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene R. and Lillie. He is survived by his son, Gene and daughter Carrie of Tulsa, brother, Jerry Grove of Bartlesville and grandchildren, Mitchell Lane Hammack of OKC, Jayna Rae Grove, Austin, TX and Jaxon Ross Grove, College Station, TX.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Porta Caeli House, 2240 N. Harvard Ave., Tulsa, OK. 74115.
