Esther Juanita Lusk was born December 26, 1933 to Eluterio and Maria Guadalupe (Coronado) Marquez in Deerfield, KS. She was the oldest of 9 children.
After graduating from High School in Kendall, KS she married Paul Jackson Lusk of Syracuse, KS in Clayton, NM on October 25, 1953.
Esther truly enjoyed life, her hobbies included: playing bingo, crafting, watching hummingbirds, cooking, listening to music, sitting outdoors, shopping, eating out and her puppies. She was a fluent member of the Church of the Firstborn and enjoyed church dinners and activities. Sunday dinner was always an open invitation to all family and friends. You could always expect a homemade dessert and sweet tea if you stopped by. Her favorite thing of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Esther’s careers included many things from DHS secretary to working at the Beaver School Cafeteria in order to provide for her family.
Esther went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2020 surrounded by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Eluterio and Maria Marquez; 1 baby sister; Maria Elena and 2 brothers; Herman Marquez and Cecil Marquez, both of Hutchinson, KS.
She was survived by her husband of 66 years; Paul Lusk of Beaver, OK; 3 daughters, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; (Sonya) and James Pratt, Cody and Treavor of Beaver, OK. Brandi, Mark and Bella McIntyre of Oklahoma City, OK; Teri Welty of Woodward, OK and Rusten Welty of Laverne, OK. (Lori) and Craig Downing of Beaver, OK. Shawn Hampsten and fiancé Jett Wagoner of Beaver, OK. Trenton Downing of Beaver, OK. Morgan, Colton and London Bartel of Corpus Christi, TX. (Laura), Marcus, Alexandria and Torrie Madden of Vici, OK; Brittny, David and Aubree Esther Riggs of Muldrow, OK; Kaitlyn Madden of Wichita, KS. 4 sisters; (Jessie) and Eugene Velasquez of Abilene, KS; (Teresa) and Kelly Winlock of Ignacio, CO; (Julia) and Roger Davis of Kansas City, MO; (Helen) and Leo Kaiser of S. Hutchinson, KS and 1 brother; Felix Marquez of Hutchinson, KS. Including many other family, nieces, nephews and friends.
