Eloda Euline Gregory

Eloda Euline Walker Gregory was born on December 13, 1926 in Beaver County, Oklahoma.  The only child of Jess Claud & Bertha Lee (Gafford) Walker.

She attended school at Clearlake & Laverne.  Eloda enjoyed sharing stories of her days working at the Beaver Hospital and later driving a bus for Garrett School.  She also provided child care for Ellie & Jacob Bridwell, Tucker & Hanna Hudgins and two of her great-grandchildren, Cody & Shaye Gregory.  Eloda had fond memories of those times.

Eloda married Albert L. (Brownie) Gregory on January 5, 1946 at Ashland, KS.  Brownie passed away in January, 1990.  The couple lost an infant daughter in July, 1947.

Eloda passed on May 25, 2016 at Alliance Hospital in Woodward, OK.

She is survived by her two daughters: Connie Haight of Ruidoso, NM; Jo Ann Hugg and husband Tony of Dumas, TX; Grandchildren: Michael Gregory of Okarche, OK; Sylvia Graham of Lubbock, TX; Tammy Killough and husband David of Alvin, TX; Brice Hugg and wife Katie of Connecticut; Chris Hugg and wife Kelly of Amarillo, TX & Drew Hugg of Kansas City.  Eloda has 15 great-grandchildren & 9 great-great-grandchildren.  Sister-in-law, Mary Pugh of Beaver, OK and brother-in-law Bernard Gregory and wife, Dickie of Sheridan, AR also survive, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were: her husband, parents, great-grandson, Lucas Loudder and son-in-laws, Wesley Graham and Chuck Haight.
