David Wayne Shaw
David Wayne Shaw was born to John (Doc) and Stella Shaw in Clinton, Oklahoma on September 20, 1958. The family moved to Beaver, Oklahoma when David was four years old. He graduated from Beaver High School in 1976. He attended Oklahoma State University studying electronic engineering technology. He joined the U.S. Navy as a 3rd Class Mechanist Mate MM3.
David married Debbie Stiers and to this union a daughter, Samantha, was born. They later divorced and David moved to Garden City, Kansas in 1983. He worked at the Sunflower Power Plant and then went into the tree service and also was a motorcycle mechanic. He later added construction work and sprinklers to his resume.
David became a skilled labor technician at Garden City Community College in 2003. He moved back to Beaver in 2013 and became a local handyman for all that needed help.
His hobbies included throwing knives, shooting guns, watching Sci-Fi movies and riding motorcycles.
David passed on October 31, 2021 in the Beaver County Nursing Home after a very brief and rapid illness.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Shaw of Dallas, Texas; his daughter, Samantha McOwen of Walla Walla, Washington; granddaughter, Lorelai McOwen and grandson, Finn McOwen both of Walla Walla, Washington.
