Cynthia Joanna Steele

Cynthia "Cindy Jo" Joanna Chapman Steele was born September 7th, 1955 in Abilene, Texas. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on January 30^th , 2024. She was 68 years old.

Cynthia is survived by her husband William Leonard Steele; her sons Bobby Joe Stephens, Patrick Aaron Steele, Richard Markus Steele, and Tyler Duane Steele; her stepdaughters Kathy Michelle Steele and Cindy Nicholette Steele; many grandchildren; and her sisters Gina Raye Paulsen, Donna Rennea Glover, Carol Jane Lott, and Nona Ray Dodgen. Cynthia was predeceased by her father Dual Ray Chapman, her mother Shirley Ann Reese, her step mother Rosa Faye Chapman , and her brother William Shane Chapman.

Cynthia and William married in 1983 and lived in various places in Texas, Kansas, North Carolina, and Oklahoma before arriving in Beaver, Oklahoma in 1993 where they remained afterward.

Cynthia loved being with her family and friends. Many people that knew her called her 'Mom' because of her understanding and caring nature. She had a broad taste in music and was always enthusiastic to hear something new. She adored the outdoors and would regularly be out fishing or sitting in front of a campfire, laughing and telling stories.

A memorial will be held in the spring and we will notify friends and family.
