Cheryl Lynn Greenlee

February 28, 1949 — April 12, 2019

Cheryl Lynn Greenlee, born February 28th, 1949 to Doyne E. Bell-Zimmerman and Lyndol E. Zimmerman in Hoxie, KS, departed this life on April 12, 2019 at her home in Beaver, OK. Cheryl was a longtime nurse, having graduated from nursing school in 1981. Nursing was at the core of her personality and being and brought significant joy to her life. She provided love to everyone she encountered until the day of her passing. She worked for the hospitals in Meade, KS and Beaver, OK. Ultimately, she settled at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS where she served patients for more than 25 years before retiring in December 2015. She was adored by the patients she cared for over the years. The number of former patients who have approached the family about how she saved their or a family member’s life is far too many to count.

Cheryl married her husband Max Greenlee in Beaver, Oklahoma on June 28, 1980 and they lived together with four children. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her, and she would have moved mountains for them if necessary. Her grandchildren’s favorite memories of her are when she put on red lipstick and kissed all over their faces leaving lip marks. Although they may not have liked it at the time, it is now one of their fondest memories. She loved working in her garden and always had an assortment of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. She enjoyed crafting and often showed her jewelry at local art shows. She loved making people happy with her designs and created each piece with love and dedication.

She is survived by her husband Max Greenlee of Beaver, OK, her children Shawn Robison and wife Jennifer of Ada, OK, Mark Robison and wife Becky of Forgan, OK, Kimberly Pierce of Beaver, OK, and Karen Greenlee of Woodward, OK, brother Bob Zimmerman of Longview, TX and sister Nancy Zimmerman of Phoenix, AZ, her grandchildren Drew Pierce and Grady Conrad of Norman, OK, Shayla Greenlee of Mounds, OK, Cort Pierce and wife Kendra of Woodward, OK, Jaden Pierce of Beaver, OK, Kimberley Vandergrift of Stillwater, OK, and Austin and Tyler Vandergrift of Ada, OK, niece Amber Zimmerman and her daughters Abigail and Ashleih of Longview, TX, and nephew Jason Zimmerman of Longview, TX. She is also survived by the newest love of her life, her great-granddaughter Kenlee Pierce of Woodward, OK. and a host of other relatives and friends.
