Billie F. Teten Clark went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 6:15 a.m.
She was born on May 6, 1930, in Woodward, Oklahoma. She was the second of ten children born to Richard John and Lula Pearl Smith Teten. Her father was one of OG&E’s original linemen and foremen. Her mother kept books for Laubhan Motors and many other businesses before she became Court Clerk for Woodward County, serving in that position for 24 years. Billie was extremely proud of her family that consisted of one set of twins and one set of triplets, totaling nine girls and one boy.
Billie graduated from Woodward High School and later in life she completed her nursing degree. Billie married Melvin Clark in 1949 and for about 40 years, they owned and operated Clark Funeral Service in Beaver, Oklahoma.
Billie is survived by her four sons: John Clark and wife Carol of Yukon, Oklahoma; Alan Clark and wife Joyce of Beaver, Oklahoma; Melvin Clark of Beaver, Oklahoma; Danny Clark and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Billie has 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Dixie Wofford, Jo Richards, Janie Brock and Kathy Ruse, all of Oklahoma City. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, former husband, siblings Maxine Kennedy, Harry Teten, Betty Sue Stitt, Helen Roller and Christina Leist and two grandchildren, Kaylee Jo Clark and Andrew Clark.
Billie’s memorial service will be at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma.
